Bhutan , officially known as the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country located in the eastern Himalayas of South Asia. Bhutan has a rich and fascinating history that dates back centuries. Here's an overview of Bhutan's history: Ancient History : The earliest inhabitants of Bhutan were various tribes and clans, including the Monpa and Ngalops. Buddhism was introduced to the region in the 7th century by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo.
